How Much Sleep Do You Get?
Many thanks to my friends from the other blog, Maria Palma and The Bargain Queen, for taking a stab at that first question. It remains open, of course.
Recently posed by a friend whose kids are grown, to a
mother of pre-schoolers, today's question is not just for moms. After all, we all have to sleep, don't we?
Answer this one now and come back (maybe Monday?) for part B.

I usually sleep from about 1100 (I actually go to bed at 1030 most nights, but it takes my brain 10-20 minutes to shut down) and wake up between 630-700. So that is 7 1/2 or 8 hours typically. I usually feel like I could sleep at least 1 more hour.
Usually 6.5 to 7 hours, punctuated by 2-5 "kid events" necessitating leaving the comfort of my bed to get them settled back in theirs. I would be fine on 7 hours if it was continuous. I can no longer nap successfully -- probably because when I was a good napper I was also a late night partier. Napping to make up for lost sleep the night before only sets the stage for staying up too late and repeating the whole thing over again.
My doctor told me this week that getting more sleep will help with my weight loss. I believe it.
From 10:30 or so until about 6:15--I guess that's 8 hours! But honestly, sometimes I'm still really really tired. . . . It comes and goes in phases. I've been trying to get up earlier, so I think that this is telling me that I could and I wouldn't miss it.
